        • School Report Card
        • The school report card shows how a school is performing in multiple areas. It shows the school’s strengths and the challenges that need to be addressed.

        • School Improvement Plan
        • Every school in the district is required to create a school improvement plan annually to highlight its work, set goals and objectives and to ensure the schools continue to move toward overall improvement and success for all students.

        • District Profile
        • The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education collects a variety of data from schools and districts in the state.

        • School Council
        • Our School Council is responsible for assisting the principal with adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards.

        • Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
        • The PTO is a volunteer parent organization that gives parents and teachers the opportunity to supplement and enrich the educational experience of our students. Parents organize, support, and help provide resources for extracurricular activities for our students.

        • The innovation plan introduced a new model for enrolling, teaching, and transitioning students from one grade level to the next on a trimester basis. Explore how we work!

        • We proudly support students who are learning English as a new language. Our students represent 30 countries and speak 26 different languages!

        • Special Education
        • The Special Education Department oversees the district’s large network of special education providers and services that work to ensure that each child is provided a free and appropriate education.

Land Acknowledgment:
The land we recognize today as Salem is Naumkeag, or fishing place, where generations of Indigenous Peoples lived and passed through for centuries. From the village upon the Naumkeag River (now known as the North River) to Sachem Nanepashemet’s fortification (now known as Castle Hill), the people of Naumkeag farmed, fished, traded, raised families, discovered, invented, created art, and above all else, honored the lands upon which you stand today. We acknowledge that this is Indigenous land and acknowledge the Massachusett tribe who continue to honor and hold this land into the present.
